There are many different reasons people replace their roofs. Here are a few reasons I see.
- 1.) Storm damage, Hail damage, and high winds are the number 1 reasons I have replaced roofs. Hail and wind can cause blisters and remove granular from your roof’s shingles, which makes them exponentially more susceptible to leaking.
- 2.) Leaking or stains on the ceiling: People often only know their roof leaks once it is too late. All it takes for a roof to leak is one nail or staple to be exposed to the elements. In Minnesota winters, ice easily dams up on roofs and speeds up the aging and leaking process.
- 3.) Selling your home. A new roof will add curb appeal and value to your home. A roof could be a worthy investment if you want to sell your house.
